Nicole’s pronouns are she/her and her role as Outreach Coordinator allows her to provide supportive counselling (for both youth and adults) in several communities throughout Lunenburg and Queens County, such as Bridgewater, Liverpool, Chester and New Ross. In this role she also provides crisis intervention, makes referrals and facilitates support/educational groups.  She is a Social Worker and has been practising in the field since 1999. Nicole works from a strength-based approach, trauma-informed practice, and incorporates a systems-theory framework. Throughout her career she has worked with mental health and addictions, family and youth, and women’s services. Most recently she has been focusing on expanding her mindfulness practice and knowledge, and further developing her knowledge of cognitive behavioural therapy.  

Fun Fact: When Nicole is not working some of her favourite things are photography, travel and spending time in nature. ​
