If you're looking for some educational resources for Indigenous History Month, here are a few that you might consider!
  • Decolonization Learning Journey with Mi'kmaw Elders and knowledge sharers is a series of recorded webinars from the Community Sector Council of NS that are available to watch. Topics covered include Pre-Contact and Early History, Indigenous Rights, Residential Schools, Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls, as well as Two-Eyed Seeing, Mi'kmaw Governance, Education, and Language, and Incorporating Reconciliation Learning into Our Work and Everyday Lives.
  • Anyone can sign up for the free, online 'Indigenous Canada' course being offered by the University of Alberta. Registration is open now at http://uab.ca/indigenous-canada!
  • Finally, the University of British Columbia also offers a free online course called 'Reconciliation Through Indigenous Education.' Click here to sign up for an email alert when it is open for registration: https://pdce.educ.ubc.ca/reconciliation/
